The longest-running noontime show “Eat… Bulaga!” appears to be the only entertainment-themed program on TV5 that continues to compete strongly in the ratings game.
Based on data from the National Urban Television Audience Measurement (NUTAM) covering February 16 to 19, the veteran noontime program posted a 2.98% average rating. It is also currently the only TV5 show capable of reaching the 3.0% ratings mark.
Meanwhile, several of the network’s news programs recorded a decline in viewership. These include Frontline Pilipinas, Una Sa Lahat, Frontline Pilipinas Weekend, and Frontline Tonight. In contrast, Frontline Express has maintained relatively stable and consistent ratings performance.
TV5’s audience share reportedly dipped following the end of its content partnership deal with ABS-CBN Corporation, which was originally set to run until 2028. After the split, the Kapamilya network transferred its top-rating programs to ALLTV2, impacting TV5’s overall performance.
Industry observers are now looking ahead to the premiere of TV5’s two new primetime teleseryes — A Secret in Prague and My Bespren Emman — and how these upcoming dramas may help boost the Kapatid network’s struggling audience share and television ratings.
