GMA Network once again dominated the Philippine television landscape in 2025, emerging as the overall ratings leader among TV stations nationwide.
Based on data from Nielsen Philippines’ National Urban Television Audience Measurement (NUTAM), GMA Network recorded a commanding 44.5% audience share for the full year, solidifying its position as the country’s most-watched television network.
TV5 ranked second with a 14.4% audience share. Throughout 2025, the Kapatid Network benefited from airing major ABS-CBN Studios programs, including FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, Incognito, ASAP, and Pilipinas Got Talent, which contributed significantly to its viewership performance.
Placing third was GMA’s sister channel GTV, which posted a 9.5% audience share, reflecting its steady presence in the competitive free-to-air market.
Rounding out the Top 5 were channels associated with the Kapamilya Network.
A2Z, the free-to-air channel of ZOE Broadcasting Network where ABS-CBN holds a blocktime arrangement, garnered a 6.3% audience share. Meanwhile, the Kapamilya Channel—ABS-CBN’s cable-based platform—registered a notable 3.8% audience share, underscoring its continued reach despite operating outside traditional free TV for much of the year.
Industry observers note that significant shifts in audience distribution are expected in 2026, following ABS-CBN’s exit from TV5 and its move to ALLTV through a licensing agreement with Villar-owned Advanced Media Broadcasting System.
The development is anticipated to reshape viewing habits and intensify competition across Philippine television.
