GMA Network Inc. formally launched its new streaming platform, GMA Play, on Sunday, February 8, offering Kapuso viewers a new digital destination to watch and rediscover well-loved GMA programs from past and present.
In its official statement, the Kapuso Network said GMA Play is designed to cater to today’s fast-paced and mobile-centric audience, featuring a wide range of content across genres such as drama, romance, comedy, fantasy, news, documentaries, Asianovelas, and both local and foreign films.
“Designed for today’s fast-paced, mobile-centric lifestyle, GMA Play offers entertainment experiences curated to evolving viewing habits. With a diverse lineup that includes drama, romance, comedy, fantasy, news and documentaries, beloved Asianovelas, a diverse selection of local and foreign movies, and many more Kapuso content, netizens can play them all with the flexibility and convenience made possible through GMA Play,” the network said.
GMA Network said the launch reflects its recognition of the changing viewing habits of Filipinos and its continued push toward digital innovation.
“With digital platforms constantly transforming viewing habits and content preferences, GMA Network further underscores its commitment to innovation and storytelling that resonates across global audiences through GMA Play,” it added.
GMA Play is now available for download on the App Store and Google Play Store, and can also be accessed via www.gmanetwork.com/gmaplay.
The platform is likewise accessible on Smart TVs with Google TV for a more seamless big-screen viewing experience.
For existing users of the GMA Network App, the network advised simply updating the app via the App Store or Google Play Store to transition to GMA Play.
