TV viewers in the Philippines have a major television shift to look forward to in 2026 as the Kapamilya Channel — known for its mix of drama series, variety shows, news, and entertainment — will begin airing on ALLTV, bringing beloved ABS-CBN programs to a new free-to-air platform.
Starting January 2, 2026, Advanced Media Broadcasting System Inc. (AMBS) — the owner and operator of ALLTV — will broadcast the Kapamilya Channel on free TV, giving audiences broader access to flagship ABS-CBN shows.
A WIDER SELECTION OF POPULAR SHOWS
ALLTV viewers can expect to watch a rich lineup of ABS-CBN content, including some of the network’s top-rating teleseryes and variety programs. These include “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” “Roja,” “What Lies Beneath,” “It’s Showtime,” “ASAP,” and the long-running tagalog news program “TV Patrol.”
This move restores many fan-favorite shows to free television following the end of TV5’s content partnership with ABS-CBN effective January 2, 2026. In its announcement, ABS-CBN confirmed that it has fulfilled its obligations with TV5 and expressed gratitude for the network’s support in hosting Kapamilya programs since 2021.
CONTINUITY ACROSS CHANNELS
While the Kapamilya Channel block will debut on ALLTV, several ABS-CBN programs will continue to be accessible through other platforms. Prime Kapamilya shows will still air on A2Z, and select titles such as “It’s Showtime” and “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab 2.0” will continue airing on GMA Network. This multi-platform approach ensures that audiences have diverse ways to catch their favorite content.
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR VIEWERS
For Kapamilya fans, the transition to ALLTV means that favorite storylines, variety segments, and news broadcasts will now be easier to access without cable or subscription. The move represents a strategic effort by ABS-CBN and its partners to expand reach and deliver compelling entertainment and information to more Filipino households nationwide.
As ALLTV prepares for its refreshed programming lineup, viewers can look forward to enjoying a broader selection of Kapamilya shows that have shaped Filipino pop culture — all on free television beginning early 2026.
