After more than a month on air, the Kapamilya late-night movie block Movie Central Presents has quietly bid farewell to free TV.
Netizens noticed the early sign-off of ALLTV2 on Monday, February 16, when the channel ended its broadcast at 11:20PM — a significant change from its usual past-2:00AM closure. The program has also been absent from ALLTV2’s promotional posts, fueling speculation about its removal.
Neither ALLTV nor ABS-CBN has provided clarification on why the block was dropped from the Kapamilya Channel lineup on ALLTV2.
Originally launched as a digital television channel, Movie Central Presents became the late-night movie block of ABS-CBN’s Kapamilya Channel in 2020.
It later aired on free TV through ALLTV2 following a licensing deal between Advanced Media Broadcasting System Inc., the parent company of ALLTV2, and ABS-CBN Corporation.
Currently, Kapamilya Channel continues to air on ALLTV2 with the following schedule:
- Monday to Friday: 5:30AM – 11:15PM
- Saturday: 5:30AM – 12MN
- Sunday: 6:00AM – 12:15AM
