TV5 is gearing up for 2026 with a strong lineup of all-original programs, as unveiled during the network’s Trade Launch held last November.
The Kapatid Network highlighted its commitment to fresh, locally produced content aimed at delivering quality entertainment to Filipino viewers.
Leading the slate is The Kingdom TV Series, adapted from the 2024 MMFF film starring Vic Sotto and Piolo Pascual. The series will feature Piolo Pascual alongside Sue Ramirez, Cristine Reyes, Derek Ramsay, Ryza Cenon, and Maja Salvador. Also in development is The Good Doctor Philippine Adaptation, headlined by Iñigo Pascual, Ryan Agoncillo, and Gelli de Belen.
TV5’s upcoming offerings further include Project Loki starring Jayda Avanzado, Dylan Menor, and Marco Gallo; My Bespren Emman featuring Ai-Ai delas Alas, Shaina Magdayao, and JM de Guzman; and The Secret in Prague led by Enrique Gil and Andrea Brillantes. Making a highly anticipated comeback is the reality competition “Artista Academy,” to be hosted by Julia Barretto.
Complementing the new titles are TV5’s well-loved ongoing programs such as “Eat Bulaga!”, “Face To Face Harapan”, “Frontline Pilipinas”, “Gud Morning Kapatid”, “Vibe”, “Sing Galing”, “Totoy Bato”, and “Kapatid Mo, Idol Raffy Tulfo.”
The announcement has sparked discussions among netizens, particularly on whether TV5 is moving toward full independence and potentially removing ABS-CBN Studios programs from its lineup. This comes after TV5 confirmed in December that it had sent a “termination letter” to ABS-CBN over alleged unpaid obligations.
In response, ABS-CBN acknowledged having outstanding obligations to TV5, clarifying that these were unintentional and that steps are being taken to settle them.
As 2026 approaches, TV5 positions itself with a bold, original content strategy—signaling a new chapter for the Kapatid Network.
