ANNE CURTIS, JOSHUA GARCIA AND CARLO AQUINO ALL SET FOR “IT’S OKAY NOT TO BE OKAY” PH ADAPTATION

ABS-CBN’s newest drama series It’s Okay Not To Be Okay is officially set for release, with its powerhouse cast — Anne Curtis, Joshua Garcia, and Carlo Aquino — ready to bring the hit Korean series to life for Filipino audiences.

At the official press conference held on Monday, June 30, Kapatid Insider joined members of the media as the stars shared their thoughts and experiences about the highly anticipated adaptation.

This marks Anne Curtis’ return to television drama after a five-year hiatus, with her last acting project being The Mall, The Merrier, an entry in the 2019 Metro Manila Film Festival before she gave birth.

“I haven’t acted in a long time, so there were a lot of jitters, especially on the first day,” Curtis admitted.

“But I was supported by amazing actors and guided by our team captain, Direk Mae Cruz-Alviar. I had my own journey of anxiety, I must say. But you know what? I learned from this story that it really is okay to not be okay.”

Carlo Aquino also opened up about how he prepared for his challenging role as a character with special needs.

“I did a three-day immersion in a special school in Banaue. Josh joined me… I observed both high-functioning and more challenged individuals, and then I underwent workshops,” Aquino shared.

Meanwhile, Joshua Garcia, who plays the romantic lead, said he felt emotional watching the trailer for the first time.

“I couldn’t stop smiling. Seeing it all come together — after everything we put in — was just heartwarming,” he said.

It’s Okay Not To Be Okay will premiere on July 18 on Netflix, July 19 on iWant TFC, and July 21 at 8:45 PM on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, and TV5.
