President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Monday inaugurated the CAVITEX-C5 Link Segment 3B, a new expressway stretch connecting Parañaque City to Taguig City. The two-kilometer road is expected to cut travel time from about one hour to just 15 minutes.
“Mula ngayon hanggang end of April, toll-free muna dito para naman mapagbigyan ang ating kababayan na dumadaan dito lalung lalo na Holy Week ngayon, maraming bumibiyahe,” Marcos said.
The new segment is projected to accommodate around 36,000 vehicles daily, easing congestion on smaller roads in the area.
“Yung biyahe na dati ay isang oras… magiging 15 minutes na lang,” the President added.
Marcos emphasized that the project will not only save motorists time but also reduce fuel consumption amid volatile global oil prices.
“Napakalaking savings nito sa gasolina, sa krudo, sa fuel… malaking savings yan,” he said.
The opening comes ahead of the Holy Week travel rush, providing commuters with faster and more cost-efficient routes.
