SM PRIME TO LAUNCH FLAGSHIP NUVALI MALL BY YEAR-END

SM Prime Holdings has announced the year-end opening of its flagship SM Nuvali mall in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, signaling a robust expansion into the country’s high-growth regional corridors. Set to become the company’s 91st shopping center, the development will stand as its largest mall in the province.

SM Prime President Jeffrey Lim noted that the project is the inaugural piece of a broader five-year strategic roadmap starting this year.

“SM Nuvali marks the first of five flagship malls we plan to open annually from 2026 to 2030. This reflects our confidence in high-growth regional markets and our commitment to building integrated destinations that support long-term value creation.”

Eco-Conscious Design and Integration

The 82,000-square-meter complex is built upon an “eco-community” framework. Key sustainability and lifestyle features include:

  • Indoor Oasis: A one-hectare air-conditioned garden.
  • Green Energy: Integrated rooftop solar panels.
  • Modern Mobility: 24 dedicated electric vehicle (EV) charging stations.
  • Seamless Connectivity: Direct pedestrian access to a Park Inn by Radisson and an SMX Convention Center trade hall.

The development is positioned as an integrated hub, featuring NV Towers to provide office spaces that complement the retail environment.

Driving Provincial Growth

The expansion highlights SM Prime’s focus on the economic potential of regions outside Metro Manila, which are currently benefiting from infrastructure improvements and rising household incomes. Lim emphasized the broader socioeconomic impact the mall is expected to deliver to the local community.

“We believe SM Nuvali can bring meaningful value to the Nuvali estate. Its experiential attractions and tenant mix will help generate economic activity, create jobs and attract more investment into the region,” he added.

By blending retail, business, and hospitality within a sustainable infrastructure, SM Prime aims to set a new benchmark for regional commercial developments in the Philippines.
