Netflix’s South Korean reality dating series “Better Late Than Single” is set to return for its second season on July 7, promising viewers another round of genuine and beautifully awkward romantic journeys.
The streaming giant gave audiences a glimpse of what lies ahead by dropping the official trailer on Tuesday, introducing a fresh group of singles looking for love and teasing a season filled with deep emotional connections.
Familiar faces are returning to guide the new contestants, with actors Seo In-guk and Kang Hanna, comedian Lee Eun-ji, and singer Car, the garden reprising their roles as hosts and “cupid experts.” The quartet will once again help the participants navigate the unfamiliar territory of dating.
Producer Kim No-eun shared that the new lineup brings a fresh dynamic to the table, noting that the women are set to make a major impact.
“While the male singles stole the spotlight last season, the women are completely holding their own this time around,” Kim said.
“Expect unfiltered, uninhibited moves from the female cast,” she added.
Meanwhile, producer Won Seung-jae emphasized that the series has matured significantly since its debut.
“If Season 1 was closer to an ‘educational program’ where viewers cheered for personal growth and smiled at endearing clumsiness, Season 2 has evolved into a real, high-stakes dating show,” Won said.
Debuting in 2025, “Better Late Than Single” centers on individuals who have spent their entire lives without ever experiencing a romantic relationship. The show tracks these “lifelong singles” as they undergo style makeovers, move into a shared house, and learn the ropes of dating through firsthand experience.
The series is part of Netflix’s expanding collection of successful South Korean unscripted dating content, which also features the highly popular “Single’s Inferno” franchise.
