Social media is abuzz following a series of playful on-air exchanges between Philippine noontime television giants Vice Ganda and Vic Sotto across their respective competing shows.
The interaction began on Friday, July 3, when the It’s Showtime host paused to send a special greeting to the Eat… Bulaga! pillar.
“Ay guys, may babatiin lang ako. Yung idol ko. Hi, Bossing Vic. I love you,” Vice expressed, a sentiment quickly echoed by the rest of the Kapamilya hosts.
Sotto immediately reciprocated the gesture during his own live broadcast, hinting at a future meeting.
“What’s up, Vice? Mag-uusap tayo ng masinsinan. Basta ang masasabi ko lang sa’yo, mwah mwah tsup tsup,” Sotto teased, drawing excited reactions from his co-hosts on the long-running show.
The friendly banter escalated on Saturday, July 4, when Vice publicly responded to Sotto’s invitation on It’s Showtime, setting up a specific time and place to meet.
Sotto accepted the challenge without hesitation during his program later that day.
Adding fuel to the fire, ABS-CBN’s film production arm, Star Cinema, released a social media teaser featuring both names, teasing a formal announcement scheduled for Sunday, July 5, at Gateway Cubao.

This development heavily aligns with long-standing rumors that the two local box-office titans will be teaming up for a massive collaborative project for the 2026 Metro Manila Film Festival.
