FOUR 2025 MMFF FILMS HEAD TO NETFLIX THIS JULY

Netflix is set to stream four of the eight competing entries from the 2025 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) this July, bringing the titles to home screens roughly seven months after their cinematic debuts.

Kicking off the streaming slate is the family-centered drama Rekonek, which hit the platform on July 12. Produced by Reality MM Studios and directed by Jade Castro, the film features a real-life family dynamic starring Zoren Legaspi and Carmina Villaroel-Legaspi together with their twins, Mavy and Cassy Legaspi. The star-studded lineup also features Bela Padilla, Gerald Anderson, and Andrea Brillantes.

Following closely on July 16 is the romantic comedy Love You So Bad, a joint venture by Star Cinema, GMA Pictures, and Regal Entertainment. Helmed by director Mae Cruz-Alviar, the film brings together Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab 2.0 alumni Will Ashley, Bianca de Vera, and Dustin Yu.

On July 23, subscribers can watch UnMarry, the family drama that secured the Second Best Picture trophy and earned Jeffrey Jeturian the Best Director award at the 2025 festival. The Quantum Films and CineKo Productions project showcases the talents of Angelica Panganiban and Zanjoe Marudo.

Rounding out the July releases is Regal Entertainment’s horror anthology Shake Rattle and Roll: Evil Origins, debuting on July 30. As the second highest-grossing film of the 2025 MMFF, this trilogy features segments directed by Shugo Praico, Joey de Guzman, and Ian Loreños. It boasts a massive ensemble cast including Richard Gutierrez, Ivana Alawi, Carla Abellana, Janice de Belen, Francine Diaz, Seth Fedelin, Sassa Gurl, and Fyang Smith, among others.

Streaming schedules for the remaining four festival entries—the top Best Picture winner I’mperfect, Call Me Mother, Manila’s Finest, and Bar Boys After School—have not yet been disclosed.
