British singer-songwriter Louis Tomlinson is scheduled to make his way back to the Philippines for a single-night concert on Oct. 17 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, marking a stop on his “How Did We Get Here?” world tour.
The upcoming Manila performance was formally confirmed by promoter Live Nation Philippines on July 15. This event marks Tomlinson’s second solo gig in the archipelago, following his initial Manila showcase in 2022.
While the concert was originally slated for the New Frontier Theater, local organizers opted to upgrade the venue to the more spacious Smart Araneta Coliseum to accommodate overwhelming ticket demand.
Tomlinson originally shot to global stardom as a member of One Direction, the phenomenally successful British-Irish boy group assembled on The X Factor UK in 2010.
After transitioning into a solo artist, he has launched multiple albums, including Walls, Faith in the Future, and his latest studio collection. His prominent solo hits include tracks like “Bigger Than Me,” “Written All Over Your Face,” “Out of My System,” and “Lemonade.”
The Philippines remains a stronghold for the One Direction fandom, with several other alumni from the group previously hosting packed solo shows in the territory. Niall Horan made his Manila debut in 2018 and came back for another concert in 2024, whereas Harry Styles brought his massive “Love On Tour” to the Philippine Arena in 2023.
