Actor and TV host Anjo Yllana revealed his desire to personally apologize to veteran Eat Bulaga hosts Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon (TVJ), though a missed encounter during a recent court hearing prevented him from doing so.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the Maddoxx Iconic Runway Diamond Jewelry Fashion Show, Yllana explained that he had hoped to clear the air in person following his previous public statement.
“Ang pagka-reach-out ko kasi yung public apology. Ngayon, hindi naman kami nagkita sa court. I was hoping na may makita ako sa court to say sorry personally,” Yllana said.
The update follows a ruling issued last month by the Mandaluyong City Regional Trial Court ordering Yllana to pay ₱3.5 million in damages to TVJ Productions. The legal dispute originated from comments Yllana made regarding his former co-hosts in TikTok videos and livestreams back in 2025.
Despite his intent to apologize, Yllana confirmed plans to challenge the decision in higher courts, adding a lighthearted comment about the damage amount while confirming the legal steps underway:
“Naka-P20 thousand na ako na ipon. Hindi ano, because nasa ano na siya seriously, nasa appeal na kasi. Court of Appeals, sa Supreme Court appeal. Sa tingin ko, ha. Pero sabi ko nga, proud naman ako dahil ang value ko pala ah P3.5 million. Joke lang yun, ha,” he remarked.
Yllana noted that he intends to remain silent on the details of the case moving forward, hoping that TVJ will appreciate his decision to refrain from further public commentary while the legal process takes its course.
Setting legal matters aside, the actor also extended his warm wishes to the iconic trio as Eat Bulaga celebrated another milestone anniversary.
“Well, unang-una, kanina napanood ko ‘yung anniversary nila sa social media. Happy anniversary kay Tito, Vic and Joey,” Yllana shared.
“Lagi ko namang sinasabi na yung goal nila or wish nila na umabot sila ng 50 years ng ‘Bulaga.’ Sana umabot sila. Baka umabot nga dahil three years na lang,” he added. “Kaya I wish them well. I wish them good health, happiness. I wish them success. Saka yung goal nila na umabot.”
With Yllana’s planned appeal, the legal dispute between the former co-hosts will proceed through the Court of Appeals.
