GMA Network’s hit FM radio program “Barangay Love Stories” is making the leap to television screens beginning September 12, extending its reach beyond its long-time home on Barangay LS 97.1 Forever.
The network officially confirmed the project on August 7, announcing that the fan-favorite radio show hosted by Papa Dudut will be transformed into a visual TV anthology.

The upcoming adaptation gives viewers the opportunity to watch real-life stories—traditionally conveyed through audio dramatizations—brought to life by on-screen actors.
The move to television serves as an organic expansion for the show, which has built a massive following by turning submitted audience accounts into dramatic narratives centered on romance, relationships, family dynamics, heartbreak, and resilience.

Unlike traditional music-focused or personality-driven FM broadcasts, “Barangay Love Stories” centers entirely on personal submissions from its listeners, known as “kabarangays.” In each episode, host Papa Dudut reads written letters, introducing real experiences that are then dramatized to capture the full emotional weight of the contributors’ personal journeys.
The television edition of “Barangay Love Stories” will officially air Saturdays at 4:00 PM on GMA-7 starting September 12.
