VICE GANDA TO HOST PH SELECTION NIGHT FOR INAUGURAL EUROVISION SONG CONTEST ASIA

Kapamilya TV host and comedian Vice Ganda has been officially named the host for Pili, Pinas!, the Philippine Selection Night organized by broadcaster ABS-CBN and Voxovation to determine the country’s representative for the debut edition of the Eurovision Song Contest Asia.

​Scheduled for August 30 at the New Frontier Theater, the national selection final will showcase 10 competing original tracks from a diverse lineup of local music acts. The official entries released for the competition include:

  • AJAA – “Make It Exist”
  • Carmelle – “Sobra-Sobra”
  • DNA – “Between Bituin”
  • Elha Nympha, Esang de Torres, Lance Reblando, and Nar Cabico – “Cheri(e)”
  • Jason Dy and Sassa Dagdag – “‘Di ‘Yan (Red Flag)”
  • JM dela Cerna and Marielle Montellano – “Mapadama”
  • Khimo – “Reason to Live”
  • Ryssi Avila – “Good for You”
  • Saga – “Broken Beyond Repair”
  • Vvink and Wrive Russu – “Round and Round”

​Ahead of the selection show, Star Music called on the public to participate in selecting the nation’s song entry, posting on social media:

​”Handa ka na bang pumili, Pilipinas? Meet the voices bringing life to our 10 entries for Eurovision Song Contest Asia!”

​The winner of the selection event will advance to represent the Philippines at the grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest Asia in Bangkok, Thailand, on November 14.
