The Marikina City government opened a free public art exhibition on Saturday, September 12, displaying 56 original artworks by 29 local creators.
Titled “The (He)Art of Marikina: Homegrown,” the exhibition is hosted at the newly inaugurated Marikina Heritage Building. The collection highlights personal reflections, perspectives, and artistic journeys rooted in the local community.
Marikina City Mayor Maan Teodoro led the unveiling alongside city officials, featured artists, and art community members.

The initiative offers Marikina-based talents a platform to display their work while giving the public access to locally produced visual art.
Located at the intersection of J.P. Rizal and I. Mendoza streets in Barangay San Roque near the Marikina Shoe Museum, the exhibition runs through November 23.
Admission is free daily from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding holidays, with featured pieces available for purchase.
