GARY V. HIGHLIGHTS PACKED VIBE PLUS EPISODE AS FANS APPEAL TO KEEP CHART COUNTDOWN

Philippine music took center stage during the latest live broadcast of the fan-driven music countdown show VIBE PLUS, highlighted by performances from veteran OPM icons, rising artists, and a plea from viewers to preserve the show’s ranking segment.

The event opened with an energetic joint production number by the show’s resident hosts and Star Worx artists, who performed “Urong Sulong,” “Pangako,” and “Tatlong Wife.” Former XB-Gensan member J2X followed on the Vibe Spot stage with his track “Edewup.”

Despite technical glitches during his segment, the performer remained optimistic about his music journey.

“His dreams, never can tell when it happends, just keep on dreaming and never giving up,” J2X said following his performance.

Singer-songwriter Moira Dela Torre shifted the mood during the “Legit Vibe” segment, rendering emotional renditions of her popular tracks “Before It Sinks In,” “Malaya,” and “Tagu-Taguan.”

She also promoted her upcoming concert, Moira: Where It All Started, scheduled for October 4.

Female OPM artists swept this week’s “Main Vibe” leaderboard top spots. Mei Mei secured the third rank with “Alembong,” while Jayda claimed second place with “Guni-Guni.” Angela Muji took the top spot with “Is It Over,” the official soundtrack for Dating Alys Perez.

Following her performance, actors Rabin Angles and Zeke Polina made an appearance alongside Muji to invite viewers to the upcoming finale of their series.

The show’s resident hosts—Dylan, Ana, Carmela, Ryle, and Joao—introduced the headlining segment with a rendition of “Eto Na Naman.” Veteran artist Gary Valenciano then took the stage, performing a medley of classic tracks including “Babalik Ka Rin,” “Natutulog Ba Ang Diyos,” “Gaya Ng Dati,” “‘Wag Mo Na Sanang Isipin,” and “Di Bale Na Lang.”

Following his performance, VIBE PLUS awarded Valenciano the Purple Plaque in recognition of his contributions to the Philippine music industry.

Valenciano expressed gratitude to Mediaquest and show leadership for providing a platform for local talent, while encouraging the program’s hosts to continue inspiring viewers.

The broadcast concluded with the announcement that singer Jona will headline the upcoming Saturday episode.

Meanwhile, dedicated viewers issued a collective appeal to network management to retain the show’s “Main Vibe Leaderboard” countdown segment, emphasizing its role in supporting P-Pop and local music artists over the past year.

VIBE airs on TV5, One PH, and the Kapatid Channel, with online streaming available across digital platforms.
