Cult psychological horror game Doki Doki Literature Club! (DDLC) has officially returned to Android mobile devices as an Epic Games Store exclusive, five months after its abrupt removal from the Google Play Store over platform policy disputes.
In April 2026, Google delisted Doki Doki Literature Club! from the Google Play Store under its “Sensitive Content” guidelines, citing the title’s narrative depictions of mental health struggles, suicide, and self-harm.
Following the removal, publisher Serenity Forge defended creator Dan Salvato’s work, highlighting the game’s artistic merit while pledging to explore alternative distribution avenues for Android users. Throughout the delisting, the title remained fully accessible on rival digital platforms, including Apple’s App Store, the Nintendo eShop, PlayStation Store, Xbox, and Steam with standard age ratings and trigger warnings intact.
Bypassing Google’s ecosystem constraints, Doki Doki Literature Club! is now available for download on Android exclusively through the Epic Games Store mobile app.
The Android relaunch preserves the game’s original 18+ / Mature rating alongside all original content disclaimers and trigger warnings.
