TV5 is set to brighten weekday afternoons with “Mommy Guard,” a new family romantic-comedy starring beloved screen partners Marvin Agustin and Jolina Magdangal.
Premiering October 19, 2026, and airing Mondays to Fridays at 2:30 p.m., the series follows Tina, played by Magdangal, a devoted mother who takes a job as a school guard to help secure a better future for her son. Her new chapter takes an unexpected turn when she encounters Pio, portrayed by Agustin, a school principal with whom she shares a complicated past.
Their daily interactions bring together humor, family challenges, friendship and the possibility of romance, while Pio faces his own journey of reconnecting with his daughter.
For Magdangal, “Mommy Guard” offers a story that goes beyond its title and speaks to people who continue to work hard for their families.
“Yes, feel good ito. Pang-family ito. Siguro, hindi naman, di porke Mommy Guard ay para sa guard lang. Kumbaga ito ay para din sa lahat na lumalaban sa buhay.”
The series also gives longtime fans an opportunity to see the MarJo tandem once again, while introducing their onscreen partnership to a new generation of viewers.
Joining Agustin and Magdangal are Dominic Ochoa, Susan Africa, Cedrick Juan, Roxanne Guinoo, Pearl Gonzales, Nathalie Apollo, Amo Wilding, Celyn David and Patrick Ballesteros.
