MANILA, Philippines — P-pop powerhouses BINI and SB19 emerged as the biggest winners at the Filipino Music Awards (FMA) 2026, securing major accolades for their stage performances and impact on fans.
BINI captured the prestigious Artist of the Year award, while their “Signals” world tour earned Tour of the Year. Members Jhoanna and Maloi accepted the honors on behalf of the eight-piece girl group.
SB19 also scored a triple victory, sweeping the People’s Choice Artist award, People’s Choice Song for their track “VISA,” and Concert of the Year for “Wakas At Simula: The Trilogy Concert Finale.”
Several other artists bagged notable genre awards during the event. Skusta Clee and Flow G’s collaboration “Since Day One” took home both Song of the Year and Hip-Hop Song of the Year. Maki won Album of the Year for KOLORCOASTER, while Fitterkarma was named Breakthrough Artist of the Year.
In genre categories, IV of Spades bagged Alternative Song of the Year for “Kabisado,” Typecast took Rock Song of the Year for “What Would It Take (For You To Realize The True Evil In This World?),” and Ben&Ben secured Folk Song of the Year for “Lifetime (Reimagined).” The R&B Song of the Year trophy was split between Denise Julia’s “LOVE AGAIN” and ALAMAT’s “Sinigang.”
VVINK, DJ Love, and Pio Balbuena won Pop Song of the Year for “Baduy,” while global phenomenon BTS claimed People’s Choice International Artist.
Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid received the FMA 2026 Lifetime Achievement Award. In an emotional acceptance speech, she expressed gratitude to the organization, her supporters, family, and husband Ogie Alcasid, while playfully jesting that receiving a lifetime honor implies an artist is aging or approaching the end of their career.
Industry institutional awards were presented to Star Music as Music Company of the Year and the Organisasyon ng mga Pilipinong Mang-aawit (OPM) as recipient of the Music Foundation Award.
A special Tribute Award was conferred upon the late Master Rapper Francis Magalona, accepted by his wife Pia and daughter Maxene. Girl group KAIA was also recognized as Star of the Night.
