MAKATI CITY TREATS 500 FAMILIES TO ENCHANTED KINGDOM FOR ANNUAL FAMILY THANKSGIVING DAY

MAKATI CITY — Five hundred families from this city experienced a day of amusement and bonding as the local government treated them to a special trip to Enchanted Kingdom in Laguna on Friday, October 9.

The annual Family Thanksgiving Day celebration brought together roughly 2,000 participants, featuring pre-kindergarten pupils from 14 public schools alongside their parents and siblings.

To ensure a hassle-free experience, the city government shouldered free round-trip transportation, provided lunch, dinner, and snacks, and handed each family ₱750 worth of “Wizard Money” to spend inside the theme park.

Makati City Mayor Nancy Binay highlighted the importance of fostering memorable experiences beyond standard government services and daily routines.

“Our children and their families deserve more than programs and services. They deserve moments of pure joy together,” Binay said.

“Family Thanksgiving Day is our way of saying thank you to every Makati family and reminding them that the city is with them at every stage of their children’s growth,” she added.

Local officials, including city councilors Mayeth Casal-Uy, Arlene Ortega, Bernadette Sese, Ina Sarosa, Maribel Vitales, Ferdie Eusebio, Levy Ramboyong, King Yabut, Dino Imperial, Bong Ariones, and Tristan Pangilinan, also joined the festivities.

First launched last year, the out-of-town Thanksgiving event continues to provide local households with a unique recreational getaway.
