BAGUIO CITY — Nature enthusiasts and local visitors will soon have a new sanctuary to explore as the Arboretum Park prepares to open its doors to the public on Monday, October 19.
Situated next to the Botanical Garden, the newly established Arboretum Park features lush surroundings and shaded walkways designed to offer a relaxing forest-bathing experience.
City Environment and Parks Management Office (CEPMO) chief Rhenan Diwas noted that the facility functions as a living repository of trees and woody plants dedicated to conservation, education, and research.
“We have cultural and bird watching. The city has a private partner there, the Haring Ibon Foundation, which will provide bird watching tours to attendees,” Diwas said.
The attraction also houses an Arboretum Gallery created in partnership with the local government, highlighting native bird species from Baguio and the Cordillera region alongside various local flora.
Visitors can seamlessly transition between the arboretum and the adjacent Botanical Garden using a single admission pass, with entry points available via Leonard Wood Road or the botanical park grounds.
Admission rates under City Ordinance No. 18, Series of 2026, are set at ₱110 for adults and teens aged 13 and above, and ₱27.50 for children 12 and under. Senior citizens and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) qualify for a 20% discount.
Meanwhile, registered Baguio residents enjoy special rates of ₱55 for adults, ₱27.50 for students 13 and older, seniors, and PWDs, while children aged 12 and below enter for free.
