MANILA — Beauty queen and actress Bianca Manalo revealed that demanding responsibilities in government ultimately contributed to the end of her relationship with Senate President Win Gatchalian.
Speaking in a recent television interview, Manalo explained that her former partner’s dedication to his political office left little room for romance.
“Mas focus siya sa pag-alaga ng bansa,” Manalo shared.
Despite the separation, the actress emphasized that she holds no resentment toward the senator, expressing admiration for his dedication to his duties.
“Naiintindihan ko ‘yun. He’s very hardworking,” she added.
Manalo also stated that she takes pride in Gatchalian’s recent professional milestones, noting that his dedication is an honorable pursuit rather than a destructive habit.
“Mabuti na doon na lang kaysa ibang bisyo. Ang bisyo niya magsakripisyo at magserbisyo para sa Pilipinas, so sino ako para pigilin siya,” she noted.
According to the actress, they parted ways on amicable terms. She shared that Gatchalian and his office continue to extend a helping hand whenever she requires assistance.
“Pag may kailangan akong help, I still talk to him; siya [at staff niya] pa rin tumutulong sa’kin. He still takes good care of me,” she said.
During the interview, television host Boy Abunda also brought up persistent rumors linking Manalo to external relationship controversies following her return to single status. The actress expressed bewilderment over why her name repeatedly gets dragged into such gossip.
Addressing her current romantic outlook in a lighthearted manner, she quipped, “Kailangan ko na ata maging taken ulit! Joke, hindi naman ako ready pa, bakit ako magbo-boyfriend?”
