MANILA — Team Falcons booked their ticket to the MPL Philippines Season 18 Grand Finals and secured the country’s first slot in the M8 World Championship following a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Aurora Gaming on Friday, October 23, at the PhilSports Arena.
Trailing 1-2 in the series, Team Falcons staged a remarkable comeback in Game 4 by overcoming a 13,000-gold deficit through disciplined base defense and key pickoffs during late-game Lord contests.
Building on that momentum, Kyle “Kyletzy” Sayson and veteran midlaner Salic “Hadji” Imam dominated the winner-take-all fifth game, capitalizing on an early lead to secure a decisive 17-3 victory and eliminate Aurora from the upper bracket.
With this crucial win, Team Falcons becomes the first Philippine team to qualify for the upcoming Mobile Legends: Bang Bang world championship scheduled for January in Istanbul, Turkey.
