QUEZON CITY — Kapuso actress Ashley Ortega opened up about her relationship with boyfriend Mavy Legaspi, sharing that she hopes and prays he will be her forever partner as they approach their second wedding anniversary.
During her guest appearance on the talk show “KALURKS!”, Ortega discussed their simple plans to celebrate their milestone.
“Dinner lang naman, hindi naman kailangan sobrang bongga. I’m just happy na ang tagal na pala namin, two years na rin pala ang nakalipas. So, going strong, and I’m happy,” Ortega said.
With their second anniversary arriving on October 27, the conversation shifted toward whether wedding bells are ringing anytime soon for the young couple. Ortega clarified that marriage is not on their immediate agenda, as both are prioritizing their individual career growth.
“Kami ni Mavy, when he was still courting me, sinabi ko naman na, syempre, I’m not getting any younger; what I want in a partner, in a relationship, is ‘yung pang long term na, hopefully. Pero right now kasi hindi pa naman namin pinag-uusapan na, ‘Are we gonna get married?’ Wala pa kasi priority pa namin is ‘yung career namin,” she explained.
The actress also noted that she wants Legaspi, who is younger than her, to have more time to explore his artistic potential and focus on professional goals.
However, she candidly admitted that she envisions a lasting future with him.
“Pero, siyempre, sinabi ko naman sa kanya na, of course, if sana pinagdadasal ko rin na, syempre, gusto ko na ‘yung partner ko ngayon, which is si Mavy, na ‘yun na sana. Kasi ang hirap naman if you’re gonna go back to zero again,” she added.
