AM radio station DZMM Radyo Patrol 630 has experienced a notable decline in its audience share, coinciding with the legal troubles of former House Speaker and Leyte 1st District Representative Martin Romualdez.
Ratings data from two major providers, Fifty5Blue (formerly Kantar Media) and Nielsen Philippines, revealed a noticeable drop in the station’s rankings. According to Fifty5Blue’s data for the third quarter of 2026, DZMM slipped to the fifth spot with a 12.06% audience share, trailing behind DZBB Super Radyo, DZRV Radyo Veritas, DZRH, and DWWW.
Meanwhile, Nielsen Philippines’ October data showed DZMM being overtaken by DZRH for the second spot—a position DZMM had occupied for over a year. DZRH scored 14.7% and DZBB dominated with 56.2%, leaving DZMM behind at 11.4%.
DZMM Radyo Patrol 630, which returned to the airwaves in June 2025, operates as a joint venture between ABS-CBN Corporation—the original owner of the iconic AM brand—and the Philippine Collective Media Corporation (PCMC), the media arm owned by Romualdez.
Romualdez is currently detained at the Quezon City Jail over a ₱7.4-billion malversation case involving alleged kickbacks from controversial government flood-control and infrastructure projects.
