MANILA, Philippines — HBO has launched an international casting call for two major roles in its upcoming television series adaptation of Kevin Kwan’s best-selling novel, “Crazy Rich Asians.”
The casting announcement, which was shared by Young Entertainment and reposted by Kwan, invites aspiring actors worldwide to audition free of charge. Applicants are instructed to review the official requirements before submitting their materials.
The production is seeking talent for two specific characters:

The upcoming television series follows the narrative of Kwan’s novel, which centers on Rachel Chu, a Chinese-American professor navigating high-society drama in Singapore after discovering her boyfriend, Nick Young, belongs to one of the city-state’s wealthiest families.
While several cast members from the 2018 film adaptation are expected to return for the show, the current casting call opens opportunities for new talent to join the expanding franchise.
