Blizzard Entertainment has officially launched its Overwatch x Solo Leveling limited-time collaboration event, bringing the Shadow Monarch universe into the hero shooter as part of Season 5. Running through Monday, October 26, 2026, across all supported gaming platforms, the crossover reimagines iconic Overwatch heroes as key hunters and shadows from the globally acclaimed anime and webtoon franchise.
The marquee crossover introduces five legendary character skins that transform members of the Overwatch roster into notable Solo Leveling figures. Cyber ninja Genji leads the collection as protagonist Sung Jinwoo, stepping into the role of the Shadow Monarch complete with dual daggers and purple shadow energy effects. Support hero Lifeweaver assumes the sharp-suited, flame-themed aesthetic of Hunter Guild Master Choi Jong-In, while martial artist Anran is styled as S-Rank Hunter Cha Hae-In in her signature raid attire with her accompanying sword.
Rounding out the featured lineup, tank hero Reinhardt dons the massive, shadow-infused armor of the giant Shadow Humanoid Iron. Meanwhile, Reaper transforms into Blood-Red Commander Igris, outfitted in crimson knightly armor and shadow particle effects.
Alongside shop-exclusive legendary bundles designed for collectors, players can unlock a variety of themed cosmetics by completing event pass challenges throughout the campaign. Earnable rewards include Solo Leveling-inspired character voice lines, sprays, player icons, and weapon charms available through gameplay.
The limited-time event serves as a centerpiece for Overwatch Season 5, which simultaneously introduces a brand-new support hero named Doctrine, alongside updated map environments and fresh seasonal game modes.
