POKÉMON UNITE SERVER SHUTDOWN CONFIRMED FOR MARCH 23, 2027

Developer TiMi Studio Group and publisher The Pokémon Company have officially announced that the free-to-play multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game Pokémon UNITE will terminate service on March 23, 2027, at 00:00 UTC. The upcoming shutdown will conclude the game’s multi-year operational run across both the Nintendo Switch and mobile platforms.

Following the announcement, immediate changes to the game’s microtransaction and subscription systems have taken effect:

Effective Tuesday, October 27, 2026, the sale of in-game currency Aeos Gems has been permanently disabled across all platforms. Players holding unused Aeos Gems will be able to spend their remaining balance until servers officially go offline in March 2027.

Simultaneously, new subscriptions and automatic renewals for the UNITE Club Membership have been permanently suspended. Active subscribers will continue to receive their membership benefits through the end of their current billing period.

To honor the game’s active community, the developers outlined a series of final events and competitive milestones leading up to the server termination:

A special Farewell Celebration update will launch on November 12, 2026, granting players enhanced opportunities to obtain previously released Unite licenses and event Holowear cosmetics.

Additionally, the major competitive tournament Aeos Crown 2027 Tokyo will proceed as scheduled, with official tournament qualifiers beginning on December 5, 2026.

To allow players to preserve their account history, a dedicated device-specific Library feature will be released prior to March 23, 2027. The tool enables players to download and archive their personal battle statistics, seasonal achievements, and collection milestones. The feature is tied strictly to individual devices and will no longer receive technical support after the final service shutdown.

Pokémon UNITE originally debuted on the Nintendo Switch in July 2021 before expanding to iOS and Android devices, building a massive international player base on Aeos Island over its five-year run. The development teams expressed deep gratitude to Trainers worldwide for their years of support and engagement.
