DISNEY UNVEILS AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY TRAILER AT CINEMACON

Disney closed CinemaCon in Las Vegas with the first official theatrical trailer for the highly anticipated Avengers: Doomsday, thrilling fans and exhibitors with major reveals.

The footage, screened twice at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, drew loud cheers as it unveiled Robert Downey Jr.’s dramatic return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) — this time as the iconic villain Doctor Doom, five years after his farewell as Iron Man in Avengers: Endgame.

The trailer teased high-intensity action sequences, including a confrontation between Gambit (Channing Tatum) and Shang-Chi (Simu Liu). Patrick Stewart reprised his role as Professor X, warning:

“Something’s coming, something we may not be able to deter.”

In a surprise finale, Chris Evans returned as Steve Rogers, appearing before Thor (Chris Hemsworth) as Mjolnir flew back into his grasp.

Both Evans and Downey Jr. joined directors Joe and Anthony Russo on stage, with Evans telling the audience he only returned because “there is a very real reason that these heroes need Steve Rogers.”

Set after the events of Endgame, the film is expected to unite classic MCU heroes with newer characters while integrating the X-Men into the main storyline.

Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled for theatrical release in the United States on December 18, sharing the date with Dune: Part Three. Industry analysts expect the dual blockbuster release to boost box office performance and revive theater attendance trends.

The film will also open in Philippine cinemas on December 18, just ahead of the 2026 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).
