Celebrity couple Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera are set to make their highly anticipated return to the big screen after nearly three years. The project marks their second time working under the direction of filmmaker Mae Cruz-Alviar.
The announcement comes after Star Cinema, the film production arm of ABS-CBN Corporation, confirmed that the GMA Network power couple will top-bill an upcoming romantic family drama titled Remember.
The film is a collaborative co-production venture among Star Cinema, Dingdong’s own AgostoDos Pictures, APT Entertainment (the film production wing of Triple A Talent Agency, which manages Marian’s career), and Regal Entertainment.
The couple last shared the screen in the 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) romantic family drama entry Rewind. Also directed by Cruz-Alviar, Rewind became a massive cinematic phenomenon, currently holding the record as the second highest-grossing Filipino film of all time after pulling in over ₱900 million at the box office.
While specific theatrical release dates for Remember have yet to be officially disclosed, initial industry reports suggest that the production is being eyed as a potential contender for this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival.
