Over a decade since their last major cinematic outing, showbiz icon Vic Sotto and singer-actor Ice Seguerra are reportedly in talks to reunite for a new feature film.
Liza Diño-Seguerra, former Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) chairperson and wife of Ice Seguerra, shared that a concept for a musical family drama has been pitched to Sotto. The proposed project would see Sotto and Seguerra playing a father and son. While specific plot details are being kept confidential, preliminary discussions are already in progress.
The film is being planned as a collaborative project between Fire and Ice Productions, M-Zet Films, and APT Entertainment. The production teams are aiming to submit the movie as an official entry for the 2026 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).
The duo last shared the screen in the 2013 MMFF hit My Little Bossings, a role that won Seguerra the Best Supporting Actress award. Seguerra later made a brief cameo in Sotto’s 2016 fantasy-comedy Enteng Kabisote 10 and the Abangers.
In a related development, rumors are also circulating about a potential 2026 MMFF collaboration between Sotto and comedian Vice Ganda. However, neither party has officially confirmed the reports.
Should these projects materialize, they are expected to be among the most highly anticipated pairings in Philippine cinema for the upcoming festival season.
