Low-cost carrier AirAsia Philippines has reassured the public that its flight schedules and daily operations are continuing without interruption, despite recent media reports regarding allegedly unpaid government fees.
In an official statement issued on Wednesday, the airline clarified that its entire network remains fully functional. It emphasized that any disruptions would only stem from routine variables, such as weather conditions or standard operational adjustments.
“AirAsia Philippines assures the travelling public that it remains fully operational, with flights and services continuing as scheduled across its network, subject to normal operational considerations such as weather and other standard factors affecting airline operations,” the company said.
The advisory was released in response to circulating reports claiming that the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) had directed the budget carrier to halt operations at state-run airports. These reports alleged that the airline has outstanding balances exceeding ₱270 million.
According to the claims, AirAsia Philippines accumulated approximately ₱271.94 million in unpaid landing, parking, air navigation, and passenger service charges from 2021 through May 2026.
As of Wednesday, CAAP has yet to release an official statement to clarify or confirm the allegations.
Meanwhile, AirAsia’s swift response aimed to ease passenger anxieties as the situation continues to gain public traction.
