MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) has earmarked nearly ₱83 billion to fund the 2026 year-end bonuses and ₱5,000 cash gifts for qualified government employees, reminding agencies to release the benefits alongside their first November salaries.
Budget Secretary Kim Robert de Leon confirmed that the funds have already been downloaded to respective government agencies to ensure timely distribution.
“Ang year-end bonus po ng mga government employees na katumbas ng one month basic salary, kasama ang ₱5,000 cash gift, ay dapat matanggap kasabay ng first salary for November,” de Leon said.
Under DBM Budget Circular No. 2024-3, eligible personnel are entitled to a year-end bonus equivalent to one month’s basic salary as of October 31, complemented by the ₱5,000 cash gift.
To qualify for these benefits, employees must have rendered a minimum of four months, or 120 days, of aggregate government service between January 1 and October 31, and must remain active in the service as of October 31.
Out of the total ₱82.998-billion allocation, ₱73.449 billion is designated for the year-end bonuses, while ₱9.549 billion covers the cash gifts.
De Leon noted that the release of the benefits serves as recognition of the hard work and continued dedication of public servants as the holiday season approaches.
