DOT INVITES PUBLIC TO HELP SHAPE NEW DOMESTIC TOURISM PLATFORM

The Department of Tourism (DOT) is calling on local travelers and industry stakeholders to actively participate in refining its newly launched domestic tourism platform.

Announced during the launch of the “Discover More to Love” national campaign, Tourism Secretary Dita Angara-Mathay emphasized that public input is crucial to the platform’s development rather than keeping it an exclusive government initiative.

“This is not a project that government builds behind closed doors and simply declares finished. We want to build it together with the Filipino traveling public and our tourism stakeholders.”

While the digital platform is fully operational for the public, Angara-Mathay clarified that the current version is just the starting point for future upgrades.

“already live and ready to use,” but added that “we also see this as the beginning of a journey of continuous improvement.”

The tourism chief urged Filipinos to test the system, enjoy the available deals, and share their honest user experiences to optimize the service.

“explore it, take advantage of the travel offers, and tell us what works, what doesn’t, and what features you’d like to see.”

“Your feedback will help us create a platform that is truly responsive to the needs of Filipino travelers,” she said.

Beyond user experience, the initiative aligns with the DOT’s strategic push to boost local travel outside of traditional peak seasons, ensuring sustainable economic benefits for communities nationwide.

“By helping Filipinos discover more opportunities to travel during off-peak periods, we can give travelers greater value and more enjoyable experiences while helping tourism enterprises maintain steady bookings, sustain jobs, and strengthen local economies throughout the year,” she said.

“This platform will continue to evolve – and we invite every Filipino to help shape it with us,” Angara-Mathay said.
