DSWD RELEASES UPLIFT CASH ASSISTANCE INSTALLMENTS FOR GROUP 2 BENEFICIARIES

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) started crediting the third and fourth monthly installments of the Unified Package for Livelihoods, Industry, Food, and Transport (UPLIFT) cash assistance to qualified Group 2 beneficiaries with registered digital accounts on Friday, November 6.

Eligible beneficiaries will receive ₱4,000 directly through their registered e-wallets or bank accounts, according to DSWD Spokesperson and Assistant Secretary Irene Dumlao. The UPLIFT program distributes cash support over six months at ₱2,000 per month, with this latest payout covering two combined installments.

For beneficiaries without digital accounts, the agency will conduct manual payouts scheduled from November 2 to 30.

Group 2 consists of poor and near-poor households identified via the Philippine Statistics Authority’s Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS). However, households already enrolled in the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) and the Walang Gutom Program are excluded.

As of November 4, approximately 1.7 million Group 2 households had already received the first tranche of assistance designed to help low-income families cope with inflation and rising fuel costs.

Amid the payout rollout, the DSWD also issued a strong warning against scammers attempting to exploit the program by harvesting personal data and banking details through text messages and social media.
