Three prominent allies of the Duterte family have taken the top spots in the senatorial preference race, according to the latest pre-election survey released by research firm Momentum Research.
The survey, conducted from October 16 to 19 with 1,401 respondents and a margin of error of ±2.6\%, showed Senator Robin Padilla leading the pack with 37.1%. He was closely followed by Davao City Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte at 35.7% and Senate Minority Leader Alan Peter Cayetano at 34.8%.
Rounding out the top five spots were Senator Raffy Tulfo, who garnered 33.5%, and Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto with 32.2%.
Meanwhile, other prominent figures securing spots within the potential “magic 12” winning circle include former Senators Grace Poe and Manny Pacquiao—who currently serves as the National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC) Lead Convenor—alongside Senators Francis “Chiz” Escudero and Loren Legarda. Davao City 1st District Representative Paolo Duterte, former Makati City Mayor Nancy Binay, and broadcaster Ben Tulfo also made the cut.
Additionally, candidates breaking into the top 20 consist of Senator Jinggoy Estrada, Education Secretary Juan Edgardo “Sonny” Angara, mother-and-son lawmakers former Senator Cynthia Villar and incumbent Senator Mark Villar, Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) CEO Mark Lapid, former Senators Koko Pimentel and Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr., and former Makati City Mayor Abby Binay.
