DUTERTE, ROBREDO, AND TULFO LEAD NEW 2028 PRESIDENTIAL SURVEY

Vice President Sara Duterte, Naga City Mayor and former Vice President Leni Robredo, and Senator Raffy Tulfo have emerged as the frontrunners in the latest pre-election preference poll for the 2028 Philippine presidential race.

The independent research firm WR Numero conducted the nationwide survey from June 9 to 16, prior to the commencement of Duterte’s impeachment trial in the Senate.

Duterte solidified her position at the top of the poll with 39.4% voter preference, reflecting a 3.5-percentage-point increase from WR Numero’s previous survey. Robredo took the second spot with 20.9%, gaining 5.2 percentage points. Meanwhile, Tulfo slipped to third place at 14.2%, registering a 4.3-percentage-point decline from his earlier 18.5% rating.

Duterte declared her intent to run for the presidency in February, whereas both Robredo and Tulfo have repeatedly maintained that they have no plans to seek the nation’s top office in 2028.

Rounding out the list of potential presidential contenders were:

  • Senator Christopher “Bong” Go: 3.6%
  • Senator Bam Aquino: 2.7%
  • Senator Risa Hontiveros: 2.1%

While complete results for the vice-presidential poll have yet to be fully released, preliminary figures indicate that Senators Robin Padilla, Bong Go, and Bam Aquino are leading the preferences for the country’s second-highest post.
