Most of the country can look forward to generally favorable weather on Thursday, with only minor disruptions from localized thunderstorms and the southwest monsoon (habagat), according to the state weather bureau.
In its 5:00 AM forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported that no low-pressure areas are expected to form or enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility within the next four to five days.
PAGASA weather specialist Leanne Loreto noted that Luzon will see warm and muggy conditions. However, Batanes and the Babuyan Islands may experience occasional rains triggered by the habagat.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the majority of the nation are set to experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies, accompanied by chances of brief, isolated rain showers or sudden thunderstorms.
Fair weather is projected to last throughout the day across Palawan, the Visayas, and Mindanao.
The weather agency added that light to moderate winds originating from the south and southwest will blow across the country, keeping coastal waters relatively moderate.
