The House of Representatives has formally commended the all-female P-pop sensation BINI for their monumental contributions to elevating Filipino culture and Original Pilipino Music (OPM) on the global stage.
The recognition followed the unanimous adoption of House Resolution No. 1001, which officially honors the group’s trailblazing international milestones. House Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy III led the presentation, joined by House Majority Leader and Ilocos Norte 1st District Representative Sandro Marcos, and Negros Occidental 3rd District Representative Javi Benitez.
The legislative commendation highlights BINI’s historic feat as the first-ever Filipino pop group to perform at the prestigious Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California, USA. The House resolution lauded the performance as a monumental breakthrough for the local music industry, successfully showcasing contemporary Filipino talent at one of the world’s premier cultural events.
