Additional suspicious identities tied to the confidential funds of Vice President Sara Duterte surfaced during the ongoing Senate impeachment trial as the House prosecution panel submitted new acknowledgment receipts as evidence.
During the proceedings, former Office of the Vice President (OVP) special disbursing officer Gina Acosta returned to the witness stand. Prosecution counsel Amando Virgil Ligutan confronted her with records containing names such as “Antonio Pagong,” “Timon Andrew Pusa,” “Don Piang,” “May Pamana,” “Shane Ngitngit,” and “Xuniso P. Belat”.
Ligutan questioned Acosta on whether she personally witnessed Col. Raymund Lachica, former head of Duterte’s security detail, hand ₱100,000 in confidential funds to Pagong.
“Hindi ko siya nakita… kasi wala po ako doon sa grounds. Siya po ang nag-implement,” Acosta testified.
Court documents showed Pagong was recorded as receiving ₱100,000 for “information,” while Pusa reportedly received ₱100,000 for transport vehicle rentals. Piang was listed as receiving ₱250,000 for the same vehicle rental purpose.
Additional receipts logged ₱150,000 allegedly disbursed to Pamana for information, ₱150,000 to Ngitngit for supplies, and ₱100,000 to Belat for information.
These newly introduced records join a growing list of questionable identities uncovered in OVP financial documents, following earlier disclosures involving names like “Mary Grace Piatos,” “Andy Lim,” “Pia Piatos-Lim,” “Renan Piatos,” and “Xiaome Ocho”.
The acknowledgment receipts were submitted to the Senate impeachment court under Article I of the complaint, which accuses Vice President Duterte of misusing ₱612.5 million in confidential funds.
