First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos shared photos on social media documenting the “Salo-Salo sa Palasyo” event held at the Malacañang Kalayaan Grounds on Monday, September 14, following President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s 69th birthday on Sunday, September 13.
The festive gathering drew thousands of supporters to the palace grounds. Beyond the main Malacañang event, simultaneous activities took place nationwide, combining birthday festivities with the nationwide delivery of public services, financial aid, and civic assistance programs.
“What touched me most was that his birthday became an opportunity to help others — bringing government services, assistance and programs closer to thousands of our kababayans all over the country,” the First Lady shared in her post.
She noted that the chief executive was deeply moved by the nationwide outreach efforts, highlighting his perspective on the true spirit of the celebration.
She recalled the President remarking that there is “no better birthday gift than seeing Filipinos helping fellow Filipinos.”
The First Lady concluded her social media update by publicly extending her warmest 69th birthday wishes to the Chief Executive.
