PADILLA DENIES ENMITY AMID SENATE TENSION, FOCUSES ON PUBLIC SERVICE

Senator Robin Padilla clarified that he holds no personal grudges against his colleagues in the upper chamber, despite recent political friction within the Senate.

In a statement posted on Facebook, Padilla emphasized his respect for fellow lawmakers, asserting that the Senate must function as a platform for democratic discourse rather than personal animosity.

He noted that he consistently extends respect to all senators during plenary sessions, regardless of their political alignments, and maintained that policy disagreements are natural components of a democracy.

“Wala po akong kaaway sa Senado at lalong hindi po ako naghahanap ng gulo,” Padilla said.

“The senado po ay lugar ng debate at katwiran… Ang isyu at mga sagutan ng mga namumuno sa Senado ay simbolo ng demokrasya.”

The actor-turned-politician further stated that he does not intend to act as a judge in internal leadership disputes.

Instead, Padilla reaffirmed his commitment to his legislative duties, stressing that his priority remains public service rather than taking sides in political factions.
