PAGASA SEES NO CYCLONES OR WEATHER DISTURBANCES NEAR PH

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) announced on Saturday, June 13, that no tropical cyclones or low-pressure areas (LPA) are currently inside or near the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

Even without active major weather disturbances, state weather specialist Veronica Torres stated that localized thunderstorms are still causing scattered rains across the country.

She noted that the easterlies—warm winds blowing from the Pacific Ocean—remain the dominant weather system affecting the eastern territories of the Philippines.

While the weather bureau continues to track ongoing thunderstorm activity in multiple provinces, it assured the public that there is no imminent threat of storm development.

Reassuring the public of the current weather outlook, she reiterated that the vicinity remains clear of severe weather threats.
