PBBM’S NET WORTH JUMPS 22% TO ₱475.93M IN LATEST SALN, DRIVEN BY CASH AND INVESTMENT BOOM

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s declared net worth surged to ₱475.93 million in 2025, marking an approximate 22% increase from his declared wealth the previous year, according to his latest Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALN).

The Chief Executive’s wealth has maintained a steady upward trajectory since he assumed the presidency in 2022. Official records show that the country’s 17th President declared a net worth of ₱371.49 million in 2022, which crept up to ₱381.45 million in 2023, and hit ₱389.36 million in 2024.

Surge in Cash and Investments

The ₱86.57 million wealth expansion recorded in 2025 is primarily pinned on a massive 155% spike in the President’s cash holdings and bank deposits. Marcos declared ₱98.7 million in liquid assets for 2025—a steep ₱60 million increase over the ₱38.7 million reported in 2024.

Parallel to his rising bank metrics, the President’s investment portfolio saw a 33% improvement by the end of last year, climbing from ₱134.19 million in 2024 to ₱178.6 million in 2025.

Fine Art and Luxury Vehicles

Marcos also expanded his personal collections, adding ₱3.6 million worth of jewelry to his assets in 2025. Meanwhile, the declared costs of his art vehicle fleet and paintings held steady at ₱38.85 million and ₱12.79 million, respectively.

The President’s inventory boasts 138 pieces of art, including a historic 1883 artwork of the Philippines’ National Hero, Dr. Jose Rizal. Documents show the piece was “gifted” to him in April 1993 and carried an appraised value of ₱3 million as of December 2025.

The crown jewel of his art collection is a 1928 piece by Fernando Amorsolo, purchased by Marcos in March 2022 for ₱3.04 million, which has since skyrocketed to an appraised value of ₱8 million. Additionally, his collection features over a dozen Ben Cabrera pieces cumulatively appraised at ₱11.65 million, alongside an artwork sourced from socialite artist Rocio Zobel, daughter of long-time presidential friend Iñigo Zobel.

On the road, the President’s luxury assets feature a 2023 Mercedes Benz Maybach S680 acquired for ₱10.5 million in April 2023, and a 2023 GMC Yukon Denali XL bought for ₱9.5 million in August 2022, just a month after taking office.

Drop in Real Estate and Zero Liabilities

In contrast to his rising personal properties, the total cost of Marcos’s real estate dropped by ₱21.43 million, moving down from ₱142.02 million in 2024 to ₱120.59 million in 2025.

The decline is tied directly to a residential property located in Laguna. The asset, originally acquired for ₱21.43 million in May 2022, was declared in his 2024 file but was entirely omitted from the 2025 listing.

Notably, the President’s financial records show a clean sheet regarding debt, listing zero outstanding loans or liabilities consistently since 2022.

Public Transparency and SALN Disclosure

The release of the latest financial data follows a period of intense scrutiny. In October 2025, Malacañang addressed public pressure after allegations of corruption regarding anomalous government flood control programs began generating political heat.

At the time, President Marcos expressed surprise at how tight public access to wealth files had become, clarifying his willingness to comply with open standards and state mechanisms.

“These old rules were suspended in the last administration where it was much easier to get a copy of the SALN and to examine it,”

”Ang mga lumang panuntunang ito ay isuspinde noong nakaraang administrasyon kung kailan mas madali pang makakuha ng kopya ng SALN at suriin ito,” the President stated following an event with media groups covering Malacañang.

“And I was quite surprised to find out when I first came into office that that was no longer the case. That it was almost impossible, in fact, to get a copy of people’s SALN. So we’re just going back to the old procedure,”

The Palace reiterated that the Chief Executive remains fully cooperative with constitutional frameworks, maintaining that:

“Again, my SALN… it will be available as available to whoever would like to – kung bigyan — hingin sa…”

”Ulitin ko, ang aking SALN… magiging available ito kung sino man ang may gusto — kung bigyan — hingin sa…” emphasizing that documents will seamlessly be handed over to the proper authority under the formal guidelines set by the Ombudsman.
