Philippine law enforcement agencies have confiscated approximately P122.53 billion worth of illegal drugs nationwide over the past four years, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) reported Tuesday.
The four-year anti-drug campaign under the Marcos administration resulted in 155,542 joint operations from July 2022 to June 30, 2026, leading to the arrest of 206,516 individuals—including 12,927 high-value targets linked to organized crime and large-scale trafficking.
Joint forces from PDEA, the Philippine National Police, National Bureau of Investigation, Bureau of Customs, Armed Forces of the Philippines, and international law enforcement partners also dismantled 13 clandestine drug laboratories and 1,917 drug dens.
In a statement, PDEA Director General Undersecretary Isagani Nerez emphasized the administration’s focus on professional, human-rights-based law enforcement.
”Our fight against illegal drugs over the past four years is anchored on justice, accountability, and compassion. We remain relentless in dismantling drug syndicates that threaten our communities while ensuring that every operation is conducted within the bounds of the law and with full respect for human rights,” he said.
Nerez attributed the campaign’s milestones to enhanced inter-agency collaboration, improved intelligence sharing, and international partnerships.
”The success of our anti-drug campaign is the result of unity of effort among government agencies, local government units, and our international partners. We will continue to intensify intelligence-driven operations against high-value targets and transnational drug trafficking organizations while supporting prevention, treatment, rehabilitation, and reintegration programs that address the drug problem in a comprehensive and sustainable manner,” he added.
Overall drug seizures yielded over 16 metric tons of shabu, 336.05 kilograms of cocaine, 161,786 ecstasy tablets, and 12,216.08 kilograms of dried marijuana leaves and bricks.
Beyond supply reduction, the government made strides in community rehabilitation under the Barangay Drug Clearing Program. A total of 30,186 barangays have now been declared drug-cleared, with 4,809 villages, 194 municipalities, and seven cities attaining cleared status during the four-year period.
Additionally, 91,740 individuals received community-based interventions, while 2,399 qualified drug pushers completed the Balay Silangan Reformation Program.
PDEA also conducted 55,272 prevention lectures nationwide, facilitating referral services for 1,398 drug users that led to 549 successful rehabilitation admissions.
