PSA: NO RECORDS FOR NAMES LINKED TO OVP CONFIDENTIAL FUND RECEIPTS

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) has confirmed that there are no official civil registry records for the names “Mary Grace Piattos,” “Milky Secuya,” and “Kokoy Villamin,” which appeared on documents related to the disbursement of confidential funds from the Office of the Vice President (OVP).

During Tuesday’s House Committee on Justice hearing on the impeachment complaints against Vice President Sara Duterte, Tingog Party-list Representative Jude Acidre questioned PSA Deputy National Statistician Marizza Grande about the registry records of these individuals listed as recipients on confidential fund receipts.

Grande reported that verification yielded no records of birth, marriage, or death for the names mentioned, except for “Irene Tan,” which is a common name.

“Doon po sa mga binanggit ninyong pangalan Your Honor, [maliban] yung Irene Tan, lahat po yun walang record ng birth, marriage, or death except po doon sa isa, yung kay Irene Tan, which is a common name po ito,” Grande said.

She added that the PSA found 144 birth records, 89 marriage certificates, and 60 death certificates under the name “Irene Tan,” while the other names returned negative results.

It was previously confirmed by the PSA in 2024 that no record exists for “Mary Grace Piattos,” a name believed to be a combination of a popular restaurant and a well-known snack brand.
