Veteran journalist Ramon Tulfo has defended his younger brother, Senator Raffy Tulfo, after actress Chelsea Ylore claimed that a “Senator” gave her a “tip” ranging from ₱250,000 to ₱300,000, despite nothing “happening” between them.
Chelsea did not name the senator but offered a clue, saying the letters “Y,” “R,” and “F” were in the person’s name.
Ramon Tulfo, in a Facebook post, seemingly addressed speculation pointing to his brother, saying “Natatawa ako sa balitang kumakalat na isang senador ay nag-offer ng indecent proposal sa isang artista (kuno) ng 250k para bembangin ito. May mga haka-haka na ang kapatid kong si Raffy ang tinutukoy.”
He added, “Hindi ako makapaniwala sa balita dahil takusa (takot sa asawa) ang kapatid ko kay Jocelyn.”
Ramon noted that if the story were true, it would not be shocking given that Raffy is known to be generous and has long been wealthy alongside his wife, Jocelyn, even before becoming senator.
He also stressed that any embarrassment would only arise if his sibling were to have affairs with men.
As of now, Senator Raffy Tulfo has not publicly responded to the claims.
