SHEAR LINE AND AMIHAN TO BRING RAINS ACROSS PARTS OF LUZON

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported that weather conditions across Luzon will be shaped by the convergence of two major systems.

The shear line will generate rainfall over the eastern segments of Central and Southern Luzon, while the Northeast Monsoon, commonly known as amihan, will prevail across Northern Luzon and the remaining portions of Central Luzon.

According to PAGASA, cloudy conditions accompanied by scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms are expected in Metro Manila, CALABARZON, Aurora, Bulacan, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Camarines Norte, and Camarines Sur due to the shear line.

Meanwhile, overcast skies and light rains driven by the amihan will affect Cagayan Valley, the Cordillera Administrative Region, and Nueva Ecija. The Ilocos Region and other parts of Central Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains under the influence of the same monsoon.

For the remainder of the archipelago, localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies alongside isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
